50 for 50 Amputee Sponsorship Program
What is the 50 for 50 program?
The 50 for 50 program seeks to match 50 sponsors with 50 ROMP patients. It allows us to concretely link the generosity of one donor with the treatment of one patient. From October 2005 to present we have helped provide roughly 250 prosthetic limbs to patients in our project sites in Ecuador and Guatemala. A portion of these people were sponsored through the 50 for 50 program.
How much does it cost to sponsor an amputee?
It costs $500 to sponsor an above-knee amputee.
It costs $300 to sponsor a below-knee or upper-extremity amputee.
How can we get involved?
We are actively seeking groups or individuals to sponsor amputees. Sponsors can be a class, a business, an office, religious groups, youth groups, organizations, teams etc.
What do we get?
Aside from the satisfaction of changing someone's life, and the life of their family, we will provide a profile, photos and video clips (if available) of the sponsored patient. A certificate of commitment and achievement with photos of the sponsored amputee will be provided. All donations are fully tax deductible.
