Brett Buxtin is an O&P technician in the Chicago area. After over a decade in construction and remodeling, he checked into the O&P field on a whim, looking for a change. It quickly became a fascination and a path that ultimately led him to the Range of Motion Project. Brett is always looking to learn and grow as a professional in both technical and human terms. The Zacapa jornada in October 2017 was a truly remarkable opportunity to experience both, while doing the most good in a place that needs it desperately. That week opened the door to the full potential of how his passion for the work can be useful in achieving greater equality and a higher standard of living through restored mobility. He is now committed to applying his time and skills whenever possible to spread the ROMP message in Chicagoland through fundraising, Components For a Cause outreach, and, of course, traveling to ROMP hubs to get the work done! Brett is happy to be a part of the growth and change that ROMP is creating for as long as the need persists.
