For several decades, Kern Konwiser has delivered world-class creative content across the entertainment landscape, including documentaries, features and TV series.
Kern has partnered with luminaries such as Quincy Jones, Peter Guber, Magic Johnson, the Grateful Dead, Herbie Hancock, Kenny Ortega and more. Through his films and media projects, he has helped to raise the profile of many of the world’s top sports and entertainment brands including Nike, Gatorade, Burton Snowboards, TapouT, Blizzard Entertainment, Mandalay Sports Entertainment, and the estate of Duke Ellington, to name a few.
Kern has earned an impressive array of industry awards and honors along the way, including the Prime Time Emmy Award for Best Picture on two separate occasions, the NAACP Image Award, the Humanitas Prize, the Producer’s Guild of America’s Producer of the Year Award, as well as Best Picture, Audience Award or Grand Jury Prizes at many of the nation’s top film festivals.
ROMP was featured in Kern’s most recent documentary series, ”Make It Work”, which chronicled ROMP’s collaboration with Aadeel Ahktar, a brilliant young PhD student, to bring groundbreaking, affordable prosthetics to the developing world. Kern is honored to continue his participation with ROMP to help grow its impact and awareness worldwide.
