Mobile Prosthetic Care
For many patients, distance and lack of access to transportation can be barriers to receiving prosthetic care.ROMP began its mobile program in 2013 to address this hardship. By partnering with trusted health care organizations across the country, ROMP uses its mobile clinic to bring high-quality prosthetic care closer to its patients. ROMP has used this model to improve its services to patients in Guatemala City, as well as expand areas of care to the isolated Western Highlands region and Chiapas, Mexico.
ROMP Guatemala operates a full service 3D printing makerlab and investigates new methods of prosthetic device production.
