Who We Are

David Krupa Volunteer Director dkrupa28@yahoo.com
David is an ABC certified Prosthetist who holds a certificate in Prosthetics from Northwestern University and a BS in Biology from the University of Illinois. He is also a lifelong amputee who's every day depends on prosthetists and prosthetic technology. His experiences working in Haiti and Ecuador opened his eyes to the struggles and needs of amputees outside of this country and helped inspire the creation of ROMP. David lives in Quito, Ecuador and directs all field operations, and training of local practitioners in Guatemala and Ecuador.

Eric Neufeld Volunteer Director epneufeld@gmail.com
Eric is an ABC certified Prosthetist and Orthotist practicing in Chicago, IL. With a background in carpentry and medical research, the field of orthotics and prosthetics surfaced as a perfect outlet to utilize an unlikely combination of interests and skills. Eric studied orthotics at the University of Connecticut and prosthetics at Northwestern University. Inspired by his patients and colleagues, Eric co-founded ROMP to contribute to the global community and help disabled people. Eric helps to direct the mission and vision of ROMP and coordinates ROMP operations in the US.

Elizabeth Mallon Volunteer Director
Elizabeth is the Director of Marketing, fundraising and Development at ROMP. With extensive experience in public relations and marketing, Lizzy adds creativity and energy to the development of ROMP in to a progressive, effective and grounded organization.

Guatemala Staff

Lesli Aragon Clinic Administrator 
Lesli runs the administrative aspect of the clinic’s operations.  She schedules patient appointments, maintains the digital patient records, reports directly to the stateside directors and is the liason between the ROMP clinic and other organizations within Guatemala who refer patients to the LJM Center.  

Luis Aragon Clinic Director / Prosthetist 
Luis is the original tecnician/clinician of the ROMP lab. He now has three years experience in orthotic/prosthetic management.  He provides direct patient care, designs, and fabricates prosthetic limbs and assists with patient therapy.  As Director he manages the five person staff, the labs finances and reports directly to stateside ROMP directors.  Luis also is employed with our Guatemalan non-profit partners, Hearts In Motion. 

Gabriela Monroy Senior Tecnician 
Gabriela is the original ROMP lab technician having worked with us since October 2005.  She is responsible for fabricating the prosthetic limbs designed by Luis and Erick.  Gabi is also a high school student and works part-time with ROMP.   

Marlon Flores Junior Tecnician 
Marlon is a lab technician and an amputee patient of the ROMP clinic.  He is responsible for fabricating the prosthetic limbs designed by Luis and Erick.  As an amputee, Marlon also assists with gait training of other ROMP patients.   

Carlos Levi Larios Junior Technician 
Carlos is the newest technician of the ROMP lab.  He is also an amputee patient of the ROMP clinic and uses a prosthesis from his hip down.  He assists the senior technicians in fabricating the prosthetic limbs designed at the lab.
